It’s the centenary of Worthington School and Pre-school and so the The Malt Shovel Worthington is supporting them with a bar change coin collection all this year and there will be a special collection over Xmas.
If you have a few coins change from your bar purchase please consider putting them in the collection box on the bar. At the end of the year I will personally match the amount collected.

Reminder about our rules on dogs, both in the pub rooms and all the outside spaces.

All dogs must be on leads and kept under control so they are not a nuisance or pose a risk to customers.

We had an incident last week where a customer’s dog was not kept under control and came into contact with a child. Our insurers have now reminded us that all dogs must be on leads and under control at all times.
Thanks for your understanding in keeping the Malt Shovel a dog friendly pub but also a safe environment for all customers.

Sorry but we will be closed this evening due to a CO2 leak in the cellar and we can’t serve the keg products. In any event we have to close on safety grounds. Hopefully the cellar engineer will have it sorted by Tuesday evening.
