Well, this is quite exciting. We were asked to write an opinion piece, and today it was published.

It started with a question about whether great restaurants can exist without imported ingredients, but somewhere along the way it became a much bigger conversation about abundance, creativity, attention, consequence and what we choose to value.

About what happens when the landscape begins to dictate the work instead of the other way around. About the invisible networks behind the things we consume. About the fact that every decision has a shape beyond the immediate transaction.

And perhaps, most of all, about this:

The question isn’t simply where something comes from. It’s what continues because we choose it.

This is the first proper opinion piece I’ve had published, either personally or through Tern, and I really enjoyed writing it. I think there may be more where this came from. A few fragments from the piece here. Full article in bio.
