Lady is extremely disappointed in you if you’ve been dishonest at the box 😔

No restock this week - the box in Cropredy was down a significant amount this week and I need time to think if this is actually feasible for me to continue.

Such sad times as I’ve seen so many of my baker girlies going through the same s**t. If you can’t afford a brownie don’t get one, I’d almost understand more if the cash box was stolen buts its cookies and brownies for godsake!!!

I try to keep negativity off here so I’m having a little break 😔

I’ll be honest, I’ve been close to hanging up my apron lately.

The heat, rising costs, new regulations, and the occasional dishonesty at the honesty boxes have had me questioning whether it’s all worth it.

Then last night, completely out of the blue, a lovely lady serving me at the cinema stopped just to tell me how much she loves my bakes. 💛

It was exactly the reminder I needed.

So I better get my apron back on, warm the oven and get ready for a fresh restock in the next couple of days.

Thank you to everyone who supports this little business. It means more than you know. 🧁✨

🌞 A little update from The Sweet Spot 🍪

There won’t be a restock today I’m afraid.

With the heat we’ve been having, demand was much quieter than usual last week and, for the first time ever, I ended up with lots of goodies left over! (Don’t worry, Lee’s work colleagues were more than happy to help with that problem 😆).

Rather than baking fresh stock that may not sell in this weather, I’ve decided to wait a few days until temperatures cool down a little.

Thank you so much for your continued support and understanding. I’ll keep you updated and will be back with a restock as soon as the weather is a bit kinder to both bakers and brownies! 🤎
