Like many cake decorators, it all started when I made my daughters first birthday cake. But baking & catering is in my genes. My Grandad was a baker in a very traditional bakery in Leicester, my Nanna was a caterer, my Great Auntie was a very fine celebration cake decorator. I’ve baked with my Mum for as long as I can remember & when we went on a cupcake decorating course together, I was hooked. I

n 2020, 8 years later I decided to start up my own business doing what I love. In early 2021 I also started my sister business - Strictly Cake Craft, creating card toppers & printing edible images for other cake makers. Message me to discuss your requirements. I look forward to hearing from you!

And just like that, I’m back in the kitchen! Anyone else back to work today after a bit of time off? If you are, I hope you’ve had a lovely Summer break ☀️.

My diary is open & I have a few slots available between now & the end of November for large cakes 🎂 . If you’re thinking of smaller items 🧁 e.g. cupcakes, brownies or sheet cakes they are easy to slot in, so availability is fairly good.

I’m almost at the end of my summer break - wow that went fast! I have a few available dates still in September (& October) for not just celebration cakes* but cupcakes & sheet cakes too.

Either comment below or send me a dm with your required collection date & if I can fit you in, I will. Availability is limited however, so don’t delay.

*A minimum of 2 weeks notice is required for large cakes.

It’s been a while since we did a Throwback Thursday so here’s one from a good few years ago now, Alice in Wonderland themed cupcakes.

Thankfully my fondant skills have improved since but I still love this set which was made on a fondant cupcake decorating course a long time ago!

Here it is, my final cake for a few weeks while I take some very much needed time off while my newly turned 14 year old is off school. These Summer holidays won’t be around for many more years so this time is precious. ☀️

I’ll still be answering enquiries & I’ll be back in September. I have plenty of creations to post, I’m very behind & lacking in social media motivation as it basically doesn’t work anymore! 😏

Erin’s cake was a chocolate sponge with chocolate buttercream filling. Her only request this year was “chocolate & pink” so here it is! 🩷
