A little clarification from the current team at The Royal George.

We’ve become aware of a post circulating which refers to The Royal George and its previous tenants.

We just wanted to make it clear that the people referred to in this post have no involvement with The Royal George today.

The previous tenants left the premises in January 2025, and we took over the pub and reopened it under new ownership/management in October 2025.

We have no connection to the circumstances or matters referred to in the post, which relate to a period before our involvement with the pub.

We appreciate that the post appears to be raising questions about the individuals mentioned rather than making any criticism of the pub itself, but we felt it was important to clarify the timeline so there is no confusion for our customers or anyone seeing the post.

The Royal George today is a completely separate operation, run by a new team, and we’re focused on building our own future here. ❤️

The forecast is looking good, the music is ready and we can’t wait to welcome you all! 🍻🎤

We’ll have a Face Painter, Cake Stall & Outdoor Can Bar — all CASH ONLY 💷
🍺 The Can Bar has a great selection of drinks!

🪑 We do have limited seating but do feel free to bring your own camping chairs… or just dance the day away!💃🕺
