What a weekend!

From catering a film shoot in Worcestershire to smashing out 3 birthday celebrations. I didn’t stop but I loved every second of it!

The highlight? Being told that it was the best the film crew had ever eaten on set (I’ll take that 🤩)

Some moments are about more than just the food… ❤️

Creating cakes for a very special lady’s 80th birthday was already a lovely job, but making it even more special was bringing out an old family favourite, my late Grandma’s chocolate pot recipe.

A recipe I remember eating by the bucket load as a child! 😂

There’s something rather special about creating new memories while bringing a few old ones back to life. From Grandma’s kitchen to an 80th birthday celebration, recipes, stories and a whole lot of love passed down through the generations.

Here’s to good food, special people and the memories we make along the way.

Experimenting today with a new cake . There are so many apples growing in the garden, I thought I’d try this new recipe.
Toffee and apple cake. I made extra toffee sauce to drizzle over the warm cake. Result… Lovely 👌

Had the pleasure this weekend of making a cake to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary.

Result;

Layered lemon sponge cake, filled with tangy lemon curd and vanilla butter cream finished with a semi naked icing design, fresh blueberries and a simple flower design. Placed on a gold cake board to honour the ‘golden anniversary ’ theme
