💛Important Announcement 💛
With rising costs across the hospitality industry, we’ve had to take a careful look at how we can continue to keep our doors open.
So far this year, we’ve seen our business rates increase by £100 per month, waste collection rise by around 20%, and the minimum wage increase. Alongside this, the cost of food, coffee, milk supplies and utilities continues to climb.
We’re incredibly proud to have been part of the community for 7 years and to have made it through challenges like COVID. We truly believe we can get through this too—but to do so, we need to make a few changes.
For the time being, we will be closing 3 days a week to help balance rising costs. We will still be open 7 days a week during school holidays.
💛Days closed Tuesday Wednesday Thursday
What’s more we are bringing back our full breakfast & Lunch menu for the 4 days that we are open.
The good news is we are not losing any of our wonderful, loyal staff, who have been incredibly supportive throughout these changes.
You may have noticed some differences in the tea room over the past few months. Seven months ago, our family circumstances changed significantly when I (Auntie Em) became a full-time carer for my father-in-law at home. This means I’m now only able to be in the shop 1-2 days a week.
Because of this, we’ve had to adjust how Auntie Em’s runs for now.
We’re also excited to be working with the amazing Bakesbygee who will now be supplying some of our delicious bakes 😋
In addition, we’ve partnered with Bounce N Bop, who now run a dance session for little ones every Friday at 12:30pm (this has recently changed from our Tuesday morning slot).
We hope you’ll continue to support our small independent business as we navigate this challenging time. We don’t yet have a set timeframe for these changes, but we promise to keep you updated.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support—it truly means the world to us 💛
