And just like that, we close the curtains on our summer of football here at The Wheatsheaf.
Last night was definitely not the result we hoped for, however, as your riverside local, we’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has joined us for any of the World Cup games this year.
We have had an amazing time hosting for you all, from sing songs, to some amazing celebrations, we’re blessed and honoured to be part of your World Cup plans pray 🙏
A huge well done to all the staff who ensure everyone was kept hydrated throughout all the games, whilst they wished they could be sat down with you. The team do an amazing job and we can’t thank them all enough!
A massive well done to our World Cup operations duo, Kieran for the bookings, adverts, table plans and Mike for our amazing ‘picky bits’ throughout the games, table service as well as being a great team player on the shifts too! Everyone smashed it!
We’re just going to quietly jump straight back into our normal routine now, ignore the TVs for a bit and pretend that we’ve never been interested in sport.
After all, music and art is our thing! 🎵
