Hello everyone
With very heavy heart we are sorry to say our little cafe on Friar Street is now closed.
It’s broken our hearts to have to do this but we’ve been left with little choice I’m afraid. You all know and understand how tough it is at the moment out there - rising costs and less dosh in our pockets.
44 Friar St has been our extended home for over two years and we’ve loved it. We’ve made friends, cooked & baked food we’re proud of, welcomed and looked after some truly amazing people, had the pleasure of working with some amazing people & have loved being apart of Friar Street
We’ve had to make a really quick decision and close though. We never want to dwindle on souring decent ingredients or raise our prices too much but this economic situation has, well, had the better of us. We also need to keep our fantastic children in mind too as we do struggle to spent enough time with them.
What’s next? Well, our event side of the business is going to have a nap over the winter so we can regroup and come back next year for event catering and pop ups.
