Happy new year! While we get ready for an exciting 2026, please be aware that:

☕ Little Al’s at The Balcony café is closed on Tuesday 6 and Wednesday 7 January for its annual maintenance, reopening on Thursday 8 January.

✨ The Art Gallery and Museum’s shop is closed for refurbishment from Tuesday 6 to Thursday 8 January, reopening on Friday 9 January.

Permanent exhibition Your Worcester is open and free to visit, alongside Worcester Society of Artists' annual exhibition, while we prepare for the opening of the spring exhibition John Singer Sargent: an American in Worcestershire on Saturday 17 January.

Enjoy a cosy visit to the Art Gallery and Museum this week! The Christmas Makers' Fair is back on Friday 5 and Saturday 6 December. 🎁

Inside you'll find stalls around the museum with a variety of beautiful, handmade gifts by Worcestershire craftspeople, and soak up the yuletide atmosphere with music from DJ Santa. 🎶

Little Al’s at The Balcony will be open until 6pm, offering mulled wine, mince pies, hot drinks and cakes. ☕

We’ll be spending a moment today to remember on this 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe.
For those of you who are familiar with our little Cafe Viaduct you may wonder the relevance of this painting; this is a painting by our wonderful friend Alice Malone, of Al’s Dad during his WW2 national service. We like having him in the cafe keeping an eye on us.
We Will Remember Them.
