April's artist of the month is Hannah Parry! Come and check out some of her work whilst you enjoy your coffee/cake/scone/soup! ☕️🫖🍰🧁
Here's her message:
"My name is Hannah Parry, and I am Joan Lodge's granddaughter. I love to have a go at lots of different arts and crafts. I especially enjoy experimenting with new techniques, and I am constantly inspired by the beauty in God's creation.
Because I have M.E, there are lots of things in life that I find difficult to do, but I find that being creative is a really therapeutic and fulfilling way to use my limited energy. I am blessed to have the resources and time to create art, and I hope that what I make can help inspire someone to try something new or different in their own creative journey.
This display is a selection of things I have made over the past few years."

This month's artist in the coffee shop is Jo! She says:

"Hello, I’m Jo and I am the artist this month.

After my stroke, just over seven years ago, art became a way in which I could express myself and I have thoroughly enjoyed journaling and art classes over the last few years.

I was told I would never make an artist while still at school but I love having opportunities to use a whole variety of materials to share my impressions of the world. Many things catch my eye and spark my imagination and I am finding an increasingly bold and vibrant style in my work. I make use of collage, hand made or printed papers, inks, acrylic paints, pens, oil pastels, stamps and stencils in my images. Some have a particular theme; my animals are from the imagined selves on the Ark, while others are much more abstract or experimental.

It is wonderful to have a space to display my work, it is all original and I hope that you might see something in one or other of the pieces to make you stop and look.

Enjoy!"
