Redhouse Farm Waddingworth Redhouse Farm at Waddingworth is a family farming business situated in the centre of old Lincolnshire. The Family look forward to welcoming you soon.

Primarily a mixed working farm which has diversified into seasonal events with the main one being our PYO Pumpkins in October. We also open in the summer for our Maize Maze which is great fun for all the family. The Kettle & Cake is our pop up coffee shop which is open during all of our seasonal events providing hot and cold drinks, savouries and yummy cakes which include Alison’s signature Pumpkin Muffin in October. We also sell produce from local suppliers such as handmade cards, gifts, pottery, bakery treats and home decorations to suit the season.

Even though a sad day it was good overall especially with our top pen of shearlings winning best in show. We are super proud of these girls and how well they looked today, it makes it that bit easier when people say what a great job we have done on them.
They have gone onto great farms and I know they will continue to do a great job for them as they did for us!

How pumpkins started back in 2017

No fancy plans or machinery then just a bag full of pumpkin seeds and some friends to help individually plant around 10,000 seeds.
Unsurprisingly to a farmer they grew well if not a little green still due to the colder weather that year.

We have some news to share which some of you might already be aware of but to those who haven’t heard ….. we are on the move! Which sadly mean the end of Redhouse Farm as you know it …..

BUT you will all be pleased to know that we will be open for our 10th & last Pumpkin Picking Season 🎃🙌🏼
So whether you have been a hardcore picker since 2017 or recently joined in the tradition we really hope you will join us one last time this October to recreate those memories from years gone by!

Due to the weather the pumpkins are ready a little earlier so we are opening on 3rd & 4th, this also means it gives you 2 extra dates to visit us so as not to miss out on the final Waddingworth PYO pumpkin experience.

🐑 Scan day for the ewes is always an exciting but also nerve wracking time waiting to see if the results reflect your work and decision making over winter while the tups were at work! 🐑

It’s safe to say that it did and we got a great scan result, better than last year and we were very pleased with that. Rather too many triplets though and even a quintuplet which is not ideal as this means our pet lamb numbers are rather more than we wanted.

Now is definitely the hard work part …. Keeping the ewes thriving and the lambs alive once they are born. Bring on May and let’s hope the weather is on our side!
