It is with a heavy heart to inform you all that our beloved father Shahidul Alam-Malik passed away peacefully on Wednesday 17th March 2021 at the age of 69.

He opened The Royal Bengal in 1982 and worked tirelessly up until his early retirement due to ill health.

He will forever be remembered for his strong work ethic and sociable nature. Our father was at his happiest when socialising with our dear customers. We hope his legacy will live on through The Royal Bengal and family.

The year 2020 has been something we all could have never of imagined. This has affected us all in some way.
As this year is finally approaching the end, I hope 2021 will offer us relief from this very difficult year. Unfortunately the hospitality industry has been greatly affected with many places unable to continue. I would like to thank all our customers for their continued support during this pandemic. We could not have remained open if it was not for you.
We ask that you all take steps to stay safe and remain positive for the year ahead. This virus can not and will not break us.
