Evening all,
Firstly, I want to say a huge thank you to the majority of people who have shown incredible support since we took over The Royal London — it really is appreciated.
However, over the last few days we have received some discriminatory and homophobic comments on a few of our posts. I wasn’t going to address this, but by staying silent we risk allowing this kind of behaviour to continue. We have to call it out
People often ask, “Why do we need Pride?” or question inclusive spaces — this is exactly why. Because, unfortunately, ignorance and discrimination still exist, and people still feel they have to hide who they are or think twice about showing affection or simply being themselves.
At The Royal London, we are — and always will be — a welcoming and inclusive venue. We want to create a space where everyone feels comfortable, respected, and treated with the dignity they deserve, regardless of their background or identity.
If you follow us on social media and enjoy what we do, please feel free to like and share our posts. If it’s not for you, that’s absolutely fine — but we ask that you refrain from leaving discriminatory or disrespectful comments. Any content that crosses the line will be reported.
Thank you for your continued support 💙
