🌡️ ☀️ ℹ️ With temperatures expected to hit 35 degrees centigrade in Wolverhampton over the next few days, people are being advised to take simple steps to keep themselves and others safe.
The UK Health Security Agency has issued an amber heat health alert for Wolverhampton from 11am today (Monday) until 11am on Friday (26 June). This signifies that the forecast hot weather could have a real impact, especially on older people, young children, and anyone with existing health conditions such as heart or breathing problems.
Councillor Obaida Ahmed, Cabinet Member for Health, Wellbeing and Community, said: "Hot weather can be enjoyable but it can also affect your health if you’re not careful. Even if it doesn’t feel extremely hot, heat can still be dangerous, so it’s important to take precautions."
