We're looking for a couple of Kitchen Porters to work in our (obvs) kitchen, delivering food to tables, aiding & abetting the chef with prepping food, washing up, helping to keep the kitchen clean, tidy & legal, & on the job training is provided

Competitive pay, immediate start, 2-3 shifts a week, including a weekend shift or 2 (sorry, no sleeping in on Sundays 🙅‍♂️) & you must be 16 or older.

Ladies, gentlemen, boys, girls, & all other persuasions,

We have changed our opening times slightly meaning that we won't be open on Monday at all, I'm afraid. We understand that this may cause a little inconvenience but, unfortunately, we see no other way to get certain days off in and the fact that Mondays are just a little haphazard, business level-wise.

Don't worry, that's all we're cutting back, everything else will remain the same.

We're sorry to say that the quiz won't be going ahead tonight due to the fact that, after the Village Show (it was lovely to see some of you down there!) Martin is a little broken & needs to take the night off....

Having said that, we ARE showing the FIFA World Cup Final between Spain & Argentina from the Metlife Stadium, kicking off at 8 so come on down and give the Spanish a cheer!!

Unfortunately the kitchen will be closed this evening as Martin thought that he could host the football last night, have a quick nap and then work through the day. Unfortunately he forgot something.... he isn't 20 years younger!!

Most humble apologies for the inconvenience if you were planning to come in to eat. We're still open from 5.30 for drinks!

For those asking...... Yes!

Yes we will be showing the England v Mexico game at 1am on Sunday night/Monday morning! We'll be serving up until the game finishes, alcoholic beverages that are rather tasty, soft drinks that, well, might need a spirit, and also coffees - proper coffee, black or white, in a mug, not cappuccinos etc... No food will be available, I'm afraid but I'm sure a you'll only need a bag of crisps or 2.... those we got!

BUT, having spoken to the police, there are a few provisos...

We're capping numbers at about 20 (if there are 20 that want to stay up that late!) And it's bookings ONLY, we're not accepting anyone if they're not booked & also ALL people in watching MUST be known by Martin, so we'll be taking the names of everyone coming in at the time of booking.

So, fancy it? Come in and see us (please book with Martin), phone us on 01483 473374 and speak to Martin, OR book online but make sure you give the names of everyone coming with you. Martin will be here for most of the weekend, if not, just leave your number with the staff & he'll get back to you.

Although it may seem a little stringent, we're working with the police as closely as possible to make sure that EVERYONE has a good time & that we cause as few problems as possible.
