When you’ve got a full house ready to celebrate a 100th birthday… and the combi oven goes down. 😬

Not just any birthday either — a 100th birthday celebration for a member of the Grenadier Guards. 🇬🇧🎂

With a busy service ahead, there wasn’t much room for delay. Our engineer attended, diagnosed the fault and got the combi back up and running ready for service, allowing the kitchen team to get on with what mattered — looking after their guests and celebrating an incredible milestone.

This is what reactive service is all about. Getting there, finding the fault and getting the customer operational again when they need us most.

This is exactly why gas safety inspections matter. ⚠️

During a routine gas safety inspection, our engineers came across this incredibly poor gas manifold installation.

Poorly installed, inadequately supported and with multiple issues that simply shouldn’t be present on commercial gas pipework. Work like this isn’t just untidy — when it comes to gas, poor workmanship can have serious consequences.

We immediately advised the customer of our findings and provided a quotation to put the installation right.

The result?

This is what a professional installation looks like.

From the old unit coming out to this new Lincat LTD GS7 gas griddle being fully installed, commissioned, tested and ready for service — all within one hour. ⏱️

That included removing the existing unit, unboxing and positioning the new griddle, fitting a new gas hose, modifying the existing gas manifold pipework, carrying out the required commissioning and safety checks and, while we were there, giving the area behind the equipment a clean for the customer too.

Fast doesn’t mean rushed. It comes from having experienced, skilled engineers who know exactly what they’re doing.

No shortcuts. No compromise on standards. Just a quality job, completed efficiently and left ready for the customer to get straight back to business.

Project complete ✅

Well… technically completed two days ago, but we’ve been a little too flat out to get the post up!

Another commercial kitchen handed back on time and on budget – as always.

A good mix of new equipment and existing kit, with everything being reused fully serviced, cleaned and checked by our team before being reinstalled.

A great little transformation and, most importantly, a happy customer ready to get back open and trading – just in time for what should be a busy weekend with their local football club just around the corner! ⚽

Day 1 complete putting this kitchen back together! 🔧👨‍🍳

Two weeks ago, we completely stripped the kitchen of its equipment and brought everything back to our warehouse for a full service, deep clean and inspection.

While the equipment has been away, the site team have been busy renewing the flooring and White Rocking the walls, giving the kitchen a complete refresh.

Today, our team returned everything to site, along with a few new additions, and started getting the kitchen back together.

Tomorrow is the final push, finishing the installation, commissioning all the equipment and getting everything ready for the pub to reopen. 🍻

Great effort from everyone involved. One more day to go! 👊

PREPARING FOR A REFIT 🔧

One of our customers’ sites is undergoing a full refit, and our Projects Team were on site from day one to survey the existing kitchen, get to work on the drawings and specifications, and make sure everything was planned and ready for the next stage.

When rip-out day arrived, our Project Engineers were on site early and got straight to work. By lunchtime, the entire kitchen had been stripped out and cleared, leaving the site ready for the next phase of the project.

From initial surveys and planning through to installation and commissioning, we’re there every step of the way to keep the project moving.

Another successful commercial dishwasher installation completed by the Tyrrell Services team.

One of our long-standing customers decided it was time to replace their ageing dishwasher after years of reliable service. Rather than continuing to repair an older machine, they chose to invest in a brand-new Meiko automatic hood dishwasher, giving them improved performance, greater reliability and increased efficiency for the years ahead.

During the installation, our engineers discovered the existing water supply and waste pipework was in need of replacement. Working alongside our Project Engineer, we removed the old services, installed new water and waste connections, and completed the full installation around the customer’s schedule to minimise disruption.

The new dishwasher was fully commissioned, thoroughly tested, and handed back ready for service, ensuring the kitchen was back up and running with minimal downtime.

A fantastic result for another valued customer, and another high-quality installation completed by the Tyrrell Services team.

Our engineers recently carried out a first-time water boiler service for a new site, and what they found inside the units highlighted exactly why regular PPM servicing is so important.

The boilers were heavily affected by thick limescale build-up, leaving the units in poor condition and affecting their performance.

Luckily, our engineers were able to thoroughly remove the scale, service the equipment and get all of the units back up and running safely and correctly. 🔧💧
