It's exciting to be one of only 20 UK roasters to have the coffees.

The live cupping will be the 3rd October at 3pm.

I'll be roasting all the coffee the second week of September and then bagging and posting so that everything arrives in plenty of time. Which is why I'm getting as much done now as I can.

It's going to be a great learning and educational project.

There's more info on my website if you're interested along with pre-orders so you don't miss out.

New to the roastery, a rare Myanmar Geisha!

I've been lucky enough to be trusted with this coffee by Indochina Coffee
I've had other coffees from the Greenland estate, but this is the first Geisha and in fact the first Geisha from Asia.

It's a very gentle coffee with florals, some chocolate and a little light nuttiness.

Fancy some?

After a fairly slow and sometimes rather damp weekend at the markets I'm back in the roastery turning this week's coffee green to brown πŸ˜‹

As always thank you to everyone that ventures out to try, buy and chat coffee with me, it's such a big part of what I do to keep this little roastery going and it's always great catching up with regulars and meeting new hopefully regulars β˜•β˜•

Going to London Coffee Festival?

I've been lucky to get a guest spot on .water stand, they are official water sponsors for the 4 days.

I'll be brewing up some amazing coffees from 1 till 6 on Saturday. The stand is at the back of the ground floor, near the robots πŸ€–

πŸ“G

And as I'm terrible at choosing or packing lightly I'm bringing 3 coffees with me.

An amazing Peru nanolot from

A funky little Timor from

And a great decaf to stop the late afternoon twitches from

So come along, say hi, drink some coffee and maybe even learn a bit about water πŸ’¦πŸ’¦

Will is see you there?

I made a little mistake with dates on Monday πŸ™ˆ

In my excitement/tiredness of getting everything ready for Tuesdays market I put the wrong month on the roasted dates.

So if you bought a bag from me at Market and it has a roast date of the 3rd April 2026, it should actually be the 3rd May 2026.

I may have posted or delivered a couple as well.

So if you were worried I'd sent you coffee from a month ago, although it would actually be really really good at that point, don't worry.

Any roast dates of the 3rd April 2026 should be 3rd May 2026. Sorry for my mess up.

Now off to change the dates on 60 bags of coffee 🀦

Have a great day

Chris

I've got a new piece of geeky tech in the roastery 😍

The Lighttells CM-200 will help me add some more consistency to my roasting as well as helping me classify the light, medium and dark coffees rather than me kind of eye balling colour, looking at weight loss and end temps to decide.

I'll also start adding the agtron number to the coffee labels for all the people that really want to geek out when buying coffee πŸ˜…
