From tomorrow, there’s a whole new palette of autumnal colours to enjoy – a white onion soup, deep red Moroccan spiced beetroot, rose pink roast beef, and Devon white crab croquettes with brown mayonnaise.

It may be raining, but our wood-fired pizza oven in Woburn is still working hard today! You can still enjoy your pizza, but in the comfort of our restaurant instead, or grab one to take away.

As sure as night follows day, summer will shortly give way to autumn. At Lussmanns, the seasons change next Tuesday as we introduce our new menu into all five restaurants.

That means you have just 5 days left to savour the last tastes of sunshine in the form of English broad beans, either in our refreshing soup or with Somerset goat’s curd on bruschetta with St Albans honey.

And our gooseberry cheesecake will disappear off the menu after the weekend.

So, make the Bank Holiday a peachy one (oh yes, we forgot the chargrilled peach and cured organic Devon ham and burrata salad), and join us for lunch or dinner.

Midweek across all our restaurants, come rain or shine, you’ll still find our great summer burger offer - each of our five burgers is just £18.50, including fries and a drink.

And whether you’ve got one evening left to spare or you’re planning a last minute gathering, we have our great value set menu available daily 12-6pm where you can enjoy 2 courses for £20.95, 3 for £23.95.

From pale ale to pilsner, stout to lager, our long-time friends, collaborators and near neighbours at Mad Squirrel have been brewing up a storm in Hertfordshire, creating award-winning beers of all strengths and flavours.

So, this autumn we’re hosting the last of the calendar year’s seasonal supper clubs showcasing their fabulous hoppy range. You won’t want to miss out on Oktoberfest: Beer, but not as you know it on Thursday 29 October in St Albans.

Enjoy a number of tasters alongside a beer-friendly menu including King Oyster mushroom scallops with garlic peperonata and capers, spiced pulled organic Haye Farm pork flatbread with onions pickled in Mad Squirrel beer and crispy crackling. We’ve even devised a Chocolate stout mousse with chocolate crumb and crème fraîche.
