☕♻️ Meet our coffee cup character!

Who knew a few used coffee cups could have a second life?

This marvellous little person looked at empty takeaway cups and saw imagination instead of rubbish. By reusing, recycling, and upcycling materials that would otherwise be thrown away, they’ve created this wonderful little character that’s full of personality.

We’re so proud of this fantastic creation and the big environmental message it shares: don’t throw it away—see what it could become instead! 🌍💚

This morning, we took matters into our own hands! 💪🗞️

Unfortunately, Menzies’ delivery times continue to let us down ☹️📰, and we know Saturdays are usually even worse.

We know there’s nothing better than settling down with your Saturday morning paper in bed 🛏️☕ or enjoying it with a fresh cup of coffee. We never want our customers to be left waiting, so we made sure our newspaper stands were fully stocked and all our newspaper deliveries were completed as early as possible. ✅🗞️

At 5:00am, Terry headed straight to the distribution centre to collect our newspapers himself and bring them back to Barrells. 🚐🌅

The result? Our papers arrived over two hours earlier than they would have through the usual delivery, meaning they’re ready for our customers first thing this morning. ⏰🙌

We’re continuing to complain to Menzies every day in the hope that our delivery run is moved further up the schedule and this ongoing issue is resolved. 🤞📢

A huge thank you to Terry for the early start and for going the extra mile for our customers. 👏❤️
