🍺🥾 LYNTON & LYNMOUTH CHARITY B**R WALK – PARTICIPANT INFO
Taking part on Saturday 3rd October? Here’s what you need to know!
🥾 11 MILE WALK
📍 Starts at The Hunters Inn Heddon Valley
⏰ 9.30am start
🥓 Breakfast baps £5 + pints available for anyone wanting to fuel up before setting off!
🥾 5.5 MILE WALK
📍 Starts at The Valley of Rocks
⏰ 12pm start
🍻 ALONG THE WAY
You’ll be stopping at The Crown Hotel, the Rockhouse Lynmouth and finishing at The Rockford Inn - Exmoor, Devon , plus there’ll be two complimentary b**r stops along the route sponsored by Black Bear Brewery and Otter Brewery
And despite the name, the b**r is completely optional! If you just fancy a great walk across Exmoor while raising money for a brilliant cause, you’re more than welcome to join us without having a single pint.
Every participant will receive a wristband, so keep it on throughout the day to access the B**r Walk offers at participating pubs.
🦺 KEEPING EVERYONE SAFE
We’ll have route marshals at key points and back walkers bringing up the rear.
You’ll also spot walkers wearing high-vis along the route – they’re part of our Safety Team too, so if you need help, have a question or just want to check you’re heading the right way, give them a shout.
There will be designated pick-up points along the route if anyone needs to stop walking, plus a Safety Team WhatsApp contact which will be shared with participants on the day.
Please stick to the marked route, listen to the marshals, walk within your limits and let one of the team know if you’re having any problems.
🌦️ COME PREPARED
Wear sensible footwear, dress for whatever Exmoor decides to throw at us and bring water with you. If you are drinking along the way, please pace yourself.
💰 ALL FOR EXMOOR SEARCH & RESCUE
We suggest a £10 donation per participant, but we’d love to raise as much as possible. Sponsorship from friends and family is very welcome too!
