Brilliant to have Hamish McCarthy down to the brewery last night to try his Bear Goggles IPA, after it was launched this week.

Hamish really enjoyed the beer, and we loved hearing about some of the latest developments and plans for The Big Swim.

It was great to meet everyone that attended the Taunton Chamber of Commerce Summer Party last night.

Lots of questions for Tom to answer about the brewery and the way we craft our ales for local venues - we hope we can help other members by working together!

Very pleased to announce and launch our latest brew to raise awareness for Wivey's own Hamish McCarthy and his The Big Swim campaign... So we've playfully named it... Bear Goggles!

This one is a 4.6% Summer IPA, made with West Coast US holds such as Chinook, Amarillo and Centennial. A touch of biscuit sweetness from some Munich malt, balances the orange peel and pine aromas.

Why not dive in, and try some?!

Very proud to say that you can find our ales in two of the three pubs that Rachel Gilmour - Tiverton & Minehead has nominated for this award!

Together with recognising our wonderful team over at The Carew Arms, who keep the locals well hydrated with our ales - we also work together with the estate at Crowcombe to make sure their livestock is well fed with the spent grain from our brewing process! Nothing goes to waste.

Butcher's Arms Carhampton have been long supporters of Black Bear Brewery and we are proud to also say they have been nominated for their work in creating a community hub, well done Nick and Team, you deserve your nomination!
