TLK OKTOBERFEST 2026… WHAT A WEEKEND 🍻
Our very first event and hopefully the first of many for our lovely customers to enjoy.
We learnt a LOT, had so much fun and are incredibly grateful for all the feedback; the good and the constructive!
First of all, a HUGE shout-out to our amazing TLK team. What a genuinely brilliant bunch of human beings they are. They got stuck in, showed up, and dressed up completely embracing the weekend and putting in the extra hours. We honestly couldn’t have done it without you ❤️
A massive thank you to our kitchen team, led by James, who set up and managed an external catering service and delivered a new temporary menu for the weekend.
Then there are some very special locals, friends and businesses who helped make the whole thing happen.
Paul said, “I’d like to do an Oktoberfest…” and, in a very short space of time, these wonderful people helped turn it into reality:
-Dave & Amanda - for the Urban Trailer stage, and to the whole family for all your support. Amazing costumes, by the way.
-John, Michael & family - for the incredibly generous marquee loan and for continuing to help and support us throughout the weekend.
-James Blackshaw from Turnung - for providing the decorations and, perhaps even more importantly… the fabulous and tasty Bavarian b**r and glassware.
-Alan Aston - for introducing us to his dad, Alan Senior, and the fantastic Brass Follies, who entertained everyone during the day.
-Oompahlievable - what an evening! You entertained everyone, filled the dance floor and created such a brilliant atmosphere. It was fantastic to watch and even better to be part of!
-Donna & Darren (who you’ll all be getting to know very soon, if you don’t already!) for all the help setting up, providing the cocktail horsebox and bringing lots of lovely things for the little customers to enjoy on Sunday.
-Ben & Co from Wastie electrics – ensuring we had sufficient power!
And finally, to our amazing customers… THANK YOU ❤️
It genuinely gave us so much joy to look around and see you all smiling, laughing, dancing and simply having a brilliant time together. That’s exactly what we wanted the weekend to be about.
So… get the weekend of 2nd October 2027 in your diary. We’ve already had enquiries and now we’ve got our first Oktoberfest under our lederhosen, it can only get better!
PROST! 🍻
And from all of us at The Lord Kitchener (TLK) THANK YOU for your continued support. It really does mean a lot.
See you at the next one x
