The first eight months of this year have passed in a glorious whirlwind of weddings, celebrations and family events.

There has been so much happiness, laughter and so many unforgettable moments shared around the table. We have watched flavours come together, friendships deepen, families reunite and new chapters begin.

For us, food has always been about far more than what is on the plate. It is about gathering the people you love, sharing stories, raising a glass and creating memories that remain long after the final course has been served.

Behind the scenes, it has once again been an incredibly tough year for us all personally. There have been days when simply carrying on has taken everything we have. Yet, through it all, the warmth of our guests, the support of our wonderful team and the privilege of being part of so many happy occasions have kept us moving forward.

2027 is already filling up quickly, and we will be limiting the number of weddings, celebrations and family events we take on next year. If you are considering asking us to be part of your special occasion, we warmly recommend getting in touch as soon as possible.

Eight extraordinary months of wonderful people, beautiful food and tables filled with love and laughter. We are tired, grateful and incredibly proud and we are not finished yet.Still 4 to go

A lovely evening celebrating a 60th Birthday in Bideford. Scallops (. It pictured ) to start followed by Duck with Cherry Sauce, Dauphinoise and Vegetables. Followed by a trio of desserts.

A wonderful evening celebrating Loree and Andrew’s marriage at the beautiful Millbrook Estate.

For their celebration, they chose a bespoke seven-course tasting menu, with every one of Loree’s seven courses created entirely vegan. Fourteen beautifully crafted plates left the kitchen, each designed to sit perfectly alongside its counterpart, proving that vegan dining should never be a compromise.

Congratulations, Loree and Andrew. It was a privilege to be part of such a special celebration, and we wish you both a lifetime of happiness together.

It’s fair to say North Lake Chapel Holiday Cottage, Devon has become home from home in the past 6 years and for Five consecutive weeks we’ve cooked for some delightful hens. Four of those featuring our much-loved Italian menu, and we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate these glorious summer evenings.

When the temperatures soar, maybe not as much as last week , Italian food just makes sense. Fresh pasta, slow-cooked classics, vibrant salads, fragrant basil, extra virgin olive oil, beautiful cheeses and desserts that round off the evening perfectly. Food designed to be shared, enjoyed slowly and accompanied by plenty of conversation.

Every visit reminds us why we love what we do. No two evenings are ever quite the same, but the joy of creating handmade food and seeing tables come together never changes.

A huge thank you North Lake Chapel Its always one of our favourite venues to cook in, and we’re already looking forward to the next time.

La dolce vita… right here in Devon. 🇮🇹❤️

The weather is simply the backdrop. You are the stars of your wedding day. Even in 43 degrees we all smiled because Marie and Mandy were so happy.

Morning Anita-Clare,

Just want to say a massive thank you for the amazing food and for making our day so special. I am sorry it was soooo hot, and I can’t imagine the actual temperature in the kitchen.

I originally wanted an Australian wedding, so in many ways it felt just like that, and Tree Top Escape looked like Mount Tamborine in places. Mandy is still raving about the Parmie! 🤩

Having the perfect wedding day is a moment neither of us will ever forget. Our heartfelt thanks to you and Mandy for making it so special, and for giving me an extra portion of the Eton Mess – OMG, amazing! 🤩

We hope to return to Devon soon.
