Truth be told…

John + I don’t usually love roast dinners.

Controversial, I know.

It’s not the quantity. I’ll absolutely flatten a Costco family-sized lasagne without breaking stride. John will hoon a catering pack of camembert like it’s his last day on earth.

It’s just that so many roasts feel like eating the same forkful over and over and over again.

Beige. Mampy. Predictable.

We’ve tried very hard not to do that to you.

When we cook a roast at LEE LEE, we’re chasing little moments. Soft herbs in the Yorkie batter. A pickle where you weren’t expecting one. A sauce that wakes the whole plate up. Something crunchy next to something rich.

Tiny surprises. Not overwhelming to look at.

Because if you’re giving up your sofa for us, the least we can do is keep things interesting.

Anyway.

Marinated pork rib. The perfect carcaças; light + fluffy interior, crisp exterior. Loads of juices. More of them on the side in a pot. Dunk it or pour the whole thing inside, à la John. Don’t wear white.
