Meet Maisy.

Some dogs arrive at The Carpenters Arms full of excitement.

Maisy arrives with questions.

Questions like:
"Is this table reserved?"
"Has anyone inspected today's standards?"
"Are these people qualified to serve my humans?"

With her magnificent whiskers, thoughtful gaze, and enough dignity to run a small kingdom, Maisy spent her visit carefully observing the world go by from her favourite spot in Windsor.

No barking.
No fuss.
Just quiet supervision and the occasional look that suggested she knew something the rest of us didn't.

We're still not entirely convinced she wasn't secretly reviewing us for a prestigious canine guidebook.

🚨 VIPup Sighting at The Carpenters Arms 🚨

We never did catch this little gentleman’s name, but he certainly made an impression.

Short legs. Long body. Zero rush.

He waddled through the pub like he owned the place, carried out a full inspection of the floorboards, greeted the regulars, and spent the evening perfecting the art of looking adorable without even trying.

No complaints were filed. No rules were broken. Although there is now an ongoing debate about whether he was a dachshund… or a very small pub landlord.

If this handsome chap belongs to you, let us know his name. Until then, he’ll remain an honorary member of our VIPup club. 🐾🍻

POV: you only stopped in for a quick drink of water… and accidentally became a full-time pub dog. 🐶❄️

Meet Thumper - an 8-year-old Bull Terrier, professional cuddle monster, stick enthusiast, and now unofficial comfort inspector of .

On one of the hottest mornings of the year, Thumper and his human headed out early for a walk to avoid the heat… but the sun caught up with them faster than expected on the cobbled streets.

We spotted the pair wandering past the pub looking a little defeated by the weather, so naturally we had to stop and say hello. After a quick cuddle and confirming Thumper was in fact an absolute sweetheart, we offered him a bowl of cold water and a cool place to escape the heat for a while. ❤️

Safe to say, this gentle little legend decided he had absolutely no plans to leave. 😌

Honestly, we respected the commitment.

He cooled off by the bar, supervised the morning setup, accepted admiration from the morning staff, and looked entirely too comfortable surrounded by human chatter about him. 🍻

Saying goodbye?
Very difficult.
Mostly because Thumper had emotionally moved into the pub already. ❤️

Last week we had a very special visitor at the Carpenters Arms… 🐾

Meet Bear - 6 years old, professional treat tester, mountain hiker, beach explorer and part-time pub critic. ⛰️🏖️🐶

He stopped by the Carpenters Arms to supervise the kitchen, test the dog-friendly vibes, and make sure every pint was poured to paw-fection. Safe to say… he approved. 🐶🍻

Meet Our Latest V.I.P. 🐾 (Very Important Pup)

We had a very special guest pop into the patio at The Carpenters Arms, and he completely stole the show! 😍 Meet ! 🐶✨

According to his dad, this 5-year-old Frenchie has his life philosophies completely sorted: he’s strictly non-political, a total atheist, and keeps his priorities simple.

His ultimate top tier consists of two things: delicious treats 🍖 and a massive love for his granny and grandad! ❤️👵👴

In fact, his dad gave us a live demonstration-the absolute second he mentioned the grandparents, Buddy went into total overdrive, looking around in pure excitement expecting them to pop out of nowhere! 👀🐕💨

​This is Tao - 10yo beagle on high alert, making sure Mom doesn't get lost between the bar and the table. Between the drinks, the food, and all the pets from everyone walking in, she’s having a very busy evening.

Meet Princess Delilah, a lady who has always understood the proper hierarchy of a pub. While most pups have their awkward phases, Delilah arrived at The Carpenters Arms with her dignity fully intact, and she’s only grown more refined with age.

​These days, she has developed a sophisticated obsession with our high chairs. Apparently, the view of the evening trade is much better from an elevated position-the perfect vantage point to oversee the Peroni being poured and the G&Ts making their rounds.

​She doesn't do "puppy antics"; she does "royal observation." If you’re looking for her this evening, just look up! She’ll be presiding over the late-night atmosphere with her signature poise.

​Stop by for a cold pint and a chance to be graced by the presence of Windsor's most stylish local. Cheers to Delilah and her lovely owners-our absolute favourites! 🍻✨
