The Hind’s Head will continues to celebrate British cooking and the comsummate eclectic style that we have become known for over the past 11 years. On the ground floor, the Restaurant has been remodelled whilst conserving the historic feature and integrity of the building. The new concept offers a choice of a la carte and set menus changing and evolving on a monthly basis. Upstairs, our guests are

invited to explore the newly created Royal Lounge bar. An opulent space, perfect to indulge on our cocktail list, small batch gins and our fantastic Champagne and wine list combined with our new snack’s menu.

Long before crisps came in packets, medieval travellers snacked on bread, cheese and cured meats between journeys, while Tudor taverns served small bites alongside ales. Simple, satisfying and made for sharing.

Popcorn Popcorn Chicken

No, it's not a misprint. And yes, it's popcorn chicken coated in masa harina* with actual popcorn too. Because we thought... why not?

Inspired by takeaway cravings and late-night movie-watching, this golden little number is crispy, punchy, and perfect with a pint. (Though in truth it goes pretty well with pretty much any drink.)

You'll find it on our bar menu.

*Masa harina is a Mexican nixtamalised corn flour traditionally used for tortillas and tacos. It brings an extra layer of toasted corn flavour, so the "popcorn" in Popcorn Popcorn Chicken really earns its name.
