Over the past year, (comm) has explored cuisine through research-led dinners centred around the systems behind food itself.

A Table For Wi******er shifts that focus closer to home.

Rather than exploring the systems behind a cuisine, this event explores the systems surrounding cuisine within a place itself.

The people.
The independent spaces.
The artisans.
The repeated encounters.
The invisible threads connecting a city together day after day.

On the 4th of July, around 80 guests will gather inside Wi******er Great Hall around one communal table alongside contributions from independent restaurants, cafés, breweries, producers and creatives from across the city.

We’re incredibly grateful to have Louis Pommery and Kyoto Kitchen supporting the project, alongside contributions and involvement from ******er, , ******er , .rost , , .whitescoffee , , ******er , , and , with the list continuing to grow.

We’re incredibly excited to announce Pommery at Pinglestone Estate as our main wine partner for A Table For Wi******er.

For an evening centred around gathering, conversation and shared hospitality, their involvement feels especially meaningful.

On the 4th of July, inside Wi******er Great Hall, champagne and wine from Louis Pommery will move across one long communal table alongside contributions from independent restaurants, cafés, breweries, bakers and producers from across the city.

Not as a formal pairing experience, but as part of one shared atmosphere.

A table shaped by collaboration, generosity and the independent spirit of Wi******er itself.

More than anything, we’re grateful for their belief in what we’re building.

This is only the beginning.

This month at RØST has been all about fermentation, across both drinks and sandwiches.

From fizzy basil tepache to funky iced teas, we’ve been experimenting with flavour, acidity, texture, and natural fermentation to bring something playful and evolving into summer.

We’ll have loads of experimental drinks to try over the coming months, these are just a few from the past couple of weeks.

Don’t miss our fermented aubergine, cumin & sun-dried tomato hummus or our house Kimchi either. Deep, savoury, tangy, and already becoming a favourite.

We’re also really excited about our carrot & orange vinegar as it continues developing over the next month. It’s quickly becoming a RØST staple and will start appearing across more of our recipes! Especially during RØST After Hours.

It’s been incredible realising how intertwined we all are as independents throughout the city, even those slightly further afield. 🧵

The quiet, often unnoticed collaborations that weave together Wi******er’s fabric are slowly coming to light.

We’re looking for 2 people to join us for the journey.

This isn’t just about making coffee.
It’s about space, craft and learning how things feel.
Learning flavour, plants, fermentation and hospitality through curiosity and repetition.
Understanding atmosphere, rhythm, detail and care.

We’re looking for people with good energy who want to grow with the space as it evolves.

Part-time / flexible daytime hours.
Coffee experience is preferred for at least one role.

Wi******er is often experienced in parts.

A coffee here. Bread there. A drink somewhere else. Different doors, different moments, different names above the windows.

But beneath the surface, it is all connected. The same streets, the same people, the same routines, the same independents helping shape the rhythm of daily life.

For one night only, we’re bringing those threads together at one communal table inside The Great Hall.

A Table for Wi******er is a shared dining experience by (COMM) and RØST — a celebration of the city’s independent food culture, community and connection.

A long banquet table laid with drinks, desserts, mains and generous dishes from across the city, with contributions from some of Wi******er’s favourite independents alongside understated makers and artisans who quietly help keep the city alive. Everything presented together, abundant and shared.

The full line-up of food partners, drinks and collaborators will be announced over the coming weeks. As well as a potential screening for Threads of a city.

More than dinner, this is a portrait of Wi******er now — gathered in one room, around one table, for one evening only.
