We’ve been supporting the team at UNIT 12 & Unit 12 Community Pantry in Wi******er to start their own community cooking workshops. It’s a special place for us as it’s where we started our first ever Munch community cooking sessions back in 2021 ☺️
Thanks to a grant from Hampshire County Council, staff and volunteers were able to attend our online training session as well as access our Munch Method toolkit, packed with resources around class planning, food education, recipes, safety and teaching tips! We also provided them with a community cooking kit, so they now have all the equipment they need to deliver workshops going forward.
We were thrilled to see their first class in action last week. It kicked off with an interactive and engaging intro all about processed food, then everyone made a super colourful chow mien. Participants said they’d developed their skills, built their cooking confidence and learnt a new recipe. Plus the food was delicious!
Well done team, what a success 🙌
