We’re looking for friendly, reliable and flexible people who can work a mix of daytime and evening shifts.
You’ll need to be 18+ and have some previous experience in hospitality or a customer-facing role.

Welcome to The Book Table, at The W**e Rooms.
The Book Table is a rather different kind of monthly book club.

There’s no set book, no homework and absolutely no book snobbery! Instead, simply bring along one or two books you’ve enjoyed and would like to share with others. Any genre is welcome. If you loved it, we’d love to hear about it.

What happens at The Book Table?
Hosted by Kerry & Ali, we’ll start the evening with a short book review to show you how it works. We’ll then settle into small groups of around four people and take turns sharing our books and recommendations.

Not sure what to say? Don’t worry. We’ll have a bowl of fun conversation prompts on each table to help get things going.

Partway through the evening we’ll mix the tables up, giving you the chance to meet some different people and discover even more books and authors.

Coming on your own? Please do. The Book Table is designed to be relaxed, friendly and easy to join. We’ll welcome you when you arrive, find you a place at a table and take care of the introductions.

Food and drinks will be available to order from The W**e Rooms’ full menu throughout the evening, and we’ll provide some light nibbles crisps and nuts for the tables. The W**e Rooms is open until 11pm, so if the books and conversation are still flowing at 9pm, you’re very welcome to stay.

We’ll also have a small selection of second-hand books to browse, and you’re welcome to bring along a book you’d be happy to swap or pass on too.

Our new tapas dishes have landed, the baked Camembert is ready for sharing (although we won’t judge if you don’t 😉), and on Friday we’ll be popping the corks for Friday Fizz!

Or, if you fancy doing something a little different, our W**e Tasting Experiences are £29.99 per person and are a lovely way to discover some new favourites while enjoying a relaxed evening together.
