Well, we hope you’ve all had a lovely week! 😊

Firstly, a huge thank you to everyone who has visited and supported us this week. It’s certainly been another busy one here at The Nog!

And what a fantastic carnival! 🎉 We hope everyone who came along enjoyed it as much as we did. A massive well done to everyone who took part, and especially to all those wonderful volunteers who give up so much of their time and energy to make it happen. What a spectacular day for Wincanton! 👏

Back at The Nog, we’ve been keeping busy too! Our autumn specials are now on the menu, including good old-fashioned sausage and mash, which has already proved rather popular over the last couple of days. Proper comfort food for these cooler days! 🍂

And, of course, tomorrow is Sunday, which means we’ll be serving breakfast from 9am. Whether you fancy a full English or something a little lighter, we’d love to see you.

🚀🍺 Something a little out of this world is landing at The Nog Inn this week!

We’re looking forward to getting Space Taxi from Frome Brewing Company on the pumps!

A gluten-free, 4.5% West Coast Pale Ale, with a rather fabulous pump clip to match! 🚕🪐

We do love trying something a little different, and this one has certainly caught our eye.

Well, what a busy weekend we’ve had! 😅

A big thank you to everyone who joined us for breakfast yesterday. It was lovely to see so many of you, and we’re delighted that our Sunday breakfasts are proving so popular! 🥰

We’ve got plenty of delicious dishes on offer, from a hearty Full English to veggie options, and my personal favourite – smashed avocado on toast with perfectly poached eggs. 😋🥑🍳

Whether you fancy a proper fry-up or something a little lighter, I think we’ve got you covered!

Sunday breakfast, delicious specials and a little bit of kitchen pride! 🥰

We’re looking forward to another busy weekend here at The Nog Inn!

Just a reminder that we’re now serving Sunday breakfast from 9am, with a lovely selection of dishes to tempt you out of bed! Whether you fancy a hearty breakfast or something a little lighter, we’ve got plenty to choose from. Bookings are very welcome, but we’re equally happy to see you just wander in!

And if you’re joining us over the weekend, we’ve got a rather delicious beef bourguignon on the specials menu. Perfect comfort food now the autumn weather is making itself known! 🍂

Now, onto pudding… Our newest apprentice in the kitchen has made a fabulous cheesecake, and having sampled it ourselves (purely for quality control, of course! 😉), we can confirm it’s absolutely delicious!

We’re so pleased with how well he’s settled in and the fantastic start he’s made to his apprenticeship. It’s lovely to see his confidence and skills developing already. 😃

So, whether it’s breakfast, lunch, dinner or just an excuse to avoid the washing up, we’d love to see you this weekend!

Well, the temperature has certainly dropped, and you know what that means… the fires are officially back on at The Nog Inn! 🔥🍂

There’s something rather lovely about this time of year. Cosy fires, hearty autumnal food and a good excuse to settle in with a glass of something warming!

We might miss those long summer evenings in the garden, but we do love a cosy pub on a chilly autumn day.

Come on in, warm your toes and let us look after you! 🍷🔥

It might be grey and dreary out there today, but it’s putting us in the mood for some proper autumn comfort food! 🍂

We’re planning a delicious beef bourguignon for the menu this weekend. The beef is already marinating and smells divine… patience has never been my strong point! 😋

In the meantime, here’s a little corner of the pub that always makes me smile, complete with sunflowers. A bit of sunshine indoors while the weather sorts itself out! 🌻

Beautiful steaks from our lovely local butchers, proper homemade chips and dressed leaves — and, because it would be rude not to, a bottle of w**e is included too! 😁

Wow… what a day! 😅

Our last Sunday of summer hours before we switch to our earlier Sunday finish for autumn/winter — and what a lovely one to end on.

We’ve met lots of lovely people, trialled some new dishes, learnt a few things along the way (and will definitely be making a couple of tweaks!) and even managed to enjoy a drink in the garden afterwards.

And can we just mention… 21 degrees at 4.45pm on a Sunday in October! ☀️🍺 We’ll take that!

Now we’re very much ready for a chilled-out Sunday evening before we get up and do it all over again next week. 😴
