Today we said ‘ciao’ to our lovely Jen, who is off to pastures new at a local school.

She has been part of our Piccolo family since 2015 and it is the first time since 1992 that our little restaurant hasn’t had a member of the Berry family working alongside us. We had to get a photo of her in the ‘Berry Spot’ before she left.

She will be greatly missed by us all, staff and customers alike. 💜

I told you we’d be working hard behind the scenes…

Today we have sourced 2 new pizza ovens and put them in situ.

Here is Maurizio cooking the very first pizza in one of them (we had to do a dry run!).

We have our electrician coming early hours tomorrow morning to hardwire them so we are on track to reopen as usual tomorrow.

Thoughts and prayers for our faithful old friend the OG pizza oven who is now retired after its 34 years of service and thousands of pizzas!

Good evening you beautiful people!

Tomorrow, Thursday 17th September, we will be closed. We are so very sorry to let all of you down but after 34 years (no joke, it’s almost as old as me!) of faithful service, our pizza oven has packed up.

We can’t have a pizzeria without a pizza oven so we will be closed while we arrange repair or replacement.

We’ll be working our socks off behind the scenes and hope to welcome you back on Friday.

Our extension is fully air conditioned and we have a portable air con unit working alongside the fans in the main restaurant.

Our team are doing an amazing job in these temperatures, now it isn’t just Wes wearing shorts! 🤣

We currently have no power and are just trying to find out when it’s due back on - I tried to take a photo but it’s so dark it came out black 😂

We might not be able to open this evening - we will call all bookings if we can’t go ahead but please keep an eye on our page as I will keep it updated here!
