A rare opportunity has become available to join our fantastic team, and we're looking for someone with a passion for animals and making a difference to people's lives.
We are currently recruiting for an Animal Care Team Member to join our dedicated team. This is an incredibly rewarding role, combining animal care with supporting children and young people.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting young people with learning difficulties, disadvantaged backgrounds, and mental health needs.
- Completing daily reports and maintaining accurate records.
- Caring for our farm animals, including feeding, cleaning, health monitoring, and carrying out daily husbandry tasks.
- Assisting with primary school visits and other organised group sessions.
- Delivering animal petting experiences for members of the public.
Preferred experience and qualifications:
- Level 3 Animal Management/Animal Care (preferred). This is advantageous as you will help support students completing animal care qualifications.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience working with animals (preferred).
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND (training can be provided for the right candidate, but a genuine passion for supporting others is essential).
- Confident speaking to groups and engaging with the public.
- Able to work two weekend days per month.
