Well, that is us done and dusted. Thank you to everyone who supported us. Whether you gave us one chance or multiple chances, you helped us get as far as we did.
A special thank you to our phenomenal staff, hannah, jess and scott, all in their first jobs and who have been amazing for us and who will all go on to be great people, and my wife louise who I just couldn't have attempted this without.
The idea here was that everything was made in-house and as fresh as coming home from work and cooking yourself and keeping it affordable. we bought in ice cream and raspberry powder that went on a plate.
Not succeeding at this will stick with me for a while. There are multiple reasons it didn't pan out, but whatever excuse i try to find, it comes down to my own naivety thinking i could do it all on my own. I'm my own worst enemy, critic and my biggest doubter, never happy with anything I do, but down a forgotten alley riddled with fly tipping and broken glass, in a subsided building with someone else's name on, 6 hobs,an oven and having one cook who's never set foot outside of wigan, I wasn't too far from success. It wasn't a bad first attempt.
Thanks again, everyone, friends, family, or strangers. Whether you visited or just liked and shared the odd post. It meant everything.
Dan and lou.
