After 8 unforgettable years, this is an incredibly difficult post to write… but our time at The Cafe on the Green is coming to an end.

The past year has been a real rollercoaster for us personally, and we’ve made the decision to step away from the business. Our final day will be Wednesday 13th.

We’re unbelievably proud of everything this little cafe has become. When we first took over, we had absolutely no experience running — or even working in — a cafe, and were living in a nearly derelict caravan in the car park. To look at what The Cafe on the Green has grown into today feels truly remarkable.

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey over the years — our amazing team members past and present, our loyal customers and regulars, and our wonderful suppliers. None of this would have been possible without your support.

The cafe is such a special place, and we feel incredibly honoured to have played a small part in its 100-year history.

We’re also delighted to be handing things over to Jason and Lisa, a wonderful couple with a wealth of experience and a genuine passion for hospitality. We truly believe they will do a fantastic job continuing everything that makes The Cafe on the Green so special.

The cafe will be closed on Thursday 14th for the handover, before reopening as normal under Jason and Lisa on Friday 15th.

From the bottom of our hearts — thank you for everything.
