Wow! Last night our founders, Louis and Lisa, popped over to Medway to attend the Taste of Kent Awards following our nomination as a finalist in the Sustainable Business of the Year Award.

Little did they know they'd be coming back winners!! 🥳

A massive well done to the whole team who make HatHats what it is every day. This is a huge joint effort, and we couldn't be prouder. Our staff are proof that together we can make a difference and an impact, and most importantly, a sustainable one! ☕️

As our team is on a flight back to the U.K. we thought we would share some snaps of yesterday’s launch of the HatHats Barista & Hospitality Academy, which opened with era92 elevate . Whilst the launch was funded and paid for by HatHats Coffee Ug, the Academy was built with kind generosity from the fundraising our team did for the HatHats Foundation .

The programme was opened by H.E. Lisa Chesney MBE, British High Commissioner to Uganda. ☕️

Today our team in Uganda got busy on day 1 of their Barista and Hospitality Training, working with our partners at Hub in Lungujja. They started the day with a talk from our East African Director Daniel Semaganda, followed by our Founder Louis.

The team also had a talk from our roasting partners on the ground about types of coffee and the process from cherry to cup, before they worked through drinks and customer service training. ☕️

We don’t launch the Academy until next week, but the team are documenting the whole journey on our TikTok, so be sure to go check it out! 🥳

Well it’s that time again! On Friday our fabulous team jetted off to Uganda, months of hardwork fundraising has finally come to life. We will be following the teams journey as they spend more time out there so be sure to check back in from time to time to see what they get up to and what big projects have been going on over there. 👀

A massive thank you to the families that have contributed towards this generous donation! Our lovely staff member Valentina, attending our trip to Uganda, will be bringing this along to take to another primary school in need, for the children to enjoy!

Today our Founder, Louis, attended the UK Africa Business Summit at the Royal Horseguards Hotel in London. It was a chance to meet political and business leaders from across the region to talk about investment, trade and opportunities.

In a few weeks' time, the HatHats Foundation will be launching its barista and hospitality academy in Kampala and the team on the ground in Africa are entering some exciting partnership opportunities.

Louis has been speaking about the magic of coffee and has met some incredible new partners, as well as connecting with our current partners on the ground.

Together we can create long term sustainable partnerships across the world!

We are very happy to share that we are a 2026 Finalist!

It was great to sit and chat with the judges about our sustainability as a business and the potential to look at new initiatives further down the line with other local businesses!

We will find out on the 8th October if we have won, but we're grateful to get this far and to be recognised.

This is a testament to our teams who work super hard behind the scenes to make HatHats what it is. ☕️

Today we opened our doors to our new To Go service at Estuary View. We're partnering with the Friends of Whitstable Healthcare charity, which means every purchase made here, helps fund the NHS with medical equipment!
