It's time to say goodbye! It's been an adventure, it's felt like forever and at the same time like time has flown. I've been in hospitality for 15 years and strangely felt like an imposter the whole time.

Because it's never felt like a job in that sense. Ive loved doing what I do. From The Wild Trapeze up to now. We were never going to be super rich or open a franchise and make millions.. maybe because I'm waaay to obsessive to step back and care far too much to let things slip. Unfortunately my body just doesn't love me enough to allow me to continue to do that!

It's not like I'm going to stop cooking. It just means I can put all of that energy into experimenting on my beautiful family.

So this is a massive thank you to everyone who has dined over the years from a little cafe in Heaton to the restaurant in Whitley Bay. To everyone who has supported us through pandemic, unpredictability and illness, and to everyone who has helped and worked with me and put up with me being an eccentric nut case.

Most of all, thank you to my amazing wife and children. Without you, I would be completely lost. I can't wait for the future and the new time we now have together.

It's time for me to do that thing. This will be our FINAL WEEK at Sugar and Slice.

We recommend booking your table online via our website sugarandslice.co.uk

Online ordering for collection will be live this evening with the drop of our final menu. There will be no Deliveroo services this week.

IF YOU HAVE A FAVOURITE PIZZA FROM OUR ARCHIVE THEN DROP IT IN THE COMMENTS BELOW FOR THE CHANCE TO GET IT ON THE MENU AND GET IT FOR FREE!
