What a day at The Boathouse Barista! β˜•πŸš›

A massive THANK YOU to the Military Vehicle Trust NI for coming down today and putting on an absolutely tremendous show for all our wonderful customers. The atmosphere was unbelievable from start to finish, and it was incredible to see so many people out enjoying the day with us.

A huge shout out as well to Ruth and Holly for absolutely smashing it in the van today β€” absolute gems both of them! πŸ’›

Today was our busiest day of the year so far, and honestly, we’re still blown away by the support. We couldn’t do it without every single one of you who came down, grabbed a coffee, had a chat, and made the day so special.

This Sunday, 24th May, we’re delighted to welcome to The Boat House Barista in Whitehead (blackhead path) from 10am–2pm. We will be open until 4pm as usual.

Pop down for a coffee and enjoy a closer look at a fantastic collection of vintage military vehicles. A great day out for enthusiasts, families, and anyone who loves a bit of history!

Another absolutely amazing Sunday on the Blackhead Path in Whitehead. Stunning sea views across Belfast Lough, sunshine all day, and our little Port Davey corner perfectly sheltered from the wind. What a beautiful spot to spend the weekend.

The iced coolers and iced coffees were a big hit this weekend too, perfect for the sunshine!

A huge thank you to all our customers for stopping by, and a special thank you to Hannah and Holly for another fantastic weekend’s work.

Yesterday at The Boat House barista, while getting everything ready for Sunday, the most beautiful rainbow appeared 🌈.

Without even thinking, I started singing β€œSomewhere over the rainbow” but this time, the words hit differently. (Dreams that you dare to dream, really do come true).

I realised I wasn’t dreaming about β€œsomewhere”. I was standing in it.

The Boat House Barista was once just a dream, and now it’s my reality. Grateful, proud, and so ready for what’s ahead .

Keep daring to dream ❀️.

STORM DAVE?! WISE UP!! What storm?

We had an absolutely amazing Easter Sunday at The Boat House Barista! 🌼🐣

From hailstones to sunshine to rain, we experienced a bit of everything, and it made the day all the more memorable.

A huge thank you to for joining us and treating everyone to their delicious Dutch pancakes, they went down a storm! Be sure to check them out on Instagram and Facebook.

And of course, thank you to all our wonderful customers who came down, it was so great to see both familiar faces and new ones.

🌬️ Storm Update from The Boathouse Barista β˜•οΈ

As everyone knows, Storm Dave is currently hitting Northern Ireland, bringing gusts of wind between 60–70 mph. We’re keeping a close eye on conditions and will decide on opening tomorrow based on how things look in the morning.

If the wind dies down by 10am, we’ll be open as usual πŸ™Œ
If not, we’ll have to stay closed for safety.

If we are closed tomorrow, don’t worry, we’ll be open on Easter Monday from 10am–4pm 🌞 (and by then the wind should have settled and the sun will hopefully be shining!).

If we don’t see you tomorrow, we’ll see you on Monday πŸ’›
