The excitement is building 🤩 thank you everyone for popping in and chatting about the kitchen with me, I've had thousands of suggestions and ideas put to me, so lots to build on and think about in 2027!

🚫 Closed until October ⚠️
Not the news we wanted, but unfortunately the kitchen is having to undergo some large maintenance work before we can be signed off to open at the end of September. Thank you Amber and team for investing all this money in a sparkly new kitchen for us, this will definitely be worth the wait, thank you everyone who's already shown so much interest in JJ's kitchen 🩷

Jacky is the Queen of homemade 😋 when she says she's cooking EVERYONE makes their way to her house! There's a pre order waiting list for her homemade pies, sausage rolls, lasagne and Quiche's! When I say you're in for a treat at the end of July when JJs kitchen opens, treat your taste buds to the best!

I'm Jacky & this is Jipsy, the inspiration for me finally having the confidence to go solo and open my own kitchen! JACKY & JIPSY AT THE WHITTINGTON CAT (JJ's KITCHEN)

Jipsy, my Jackahuahua, she turns 10 on 18th July just before I open my kitchen, she's my fur baby, she decides when it's time to get out of bed, she looks like she's smiling when she carries a treat and she refuses to go outside when it's raining! Although Jipsy will be no where near the pub kitchen, she will feature her very own Doggy Menu! The Whittington Cat is a dog friendly pub and a lot of us consider them part of the family! So Jipsy is offering doggy dishes and treats for our fur babies who visit 🐕🐾

I have a lifelong passion for cooking and bringing people together, i have worked in many types of kitchen over my working life but i am proud to be opening the doors to my very own traditional pub kitchen, serving the kind of hearty, homemade meals that have been at the heart of British pubs for generations.

I'll be using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible, every dish will be freshly prepared with care, from comforting classics and generous Sunday roasts to homemade pies, slow-cooked favourites, and delicious desserts. Inspired by family recipes and years spent cooking for friends and loved ones, JJ's kitchen is all about honest food, generous portions, and great value.

Whether you're stopping by for a quick lunch, a family meal, or a relaxing evening with friends, you'll always receive a warm welcome and a plate of wholesome, home-cooked food made with pride.

At JJ's Kitchen, good food, good company, and traditional hospitality are always on the menu.

Amber and the team at the Whittington Cat are closing the pub for a few days 20th-22nd July for a mini referb, we are working hard to get the kitchen up to standard and the council out ready to open on Thursday 23rd July, we'll be inviting a select few down for a intimate tasting experience over the first weekend and open officially to the public the following week, i look forward to welcoming everyone to JJ's Kitchen at the Whittington Cat 🐈
