As we near the end of the Summer we would like to say a huge thank you to all our staff and volunteers at the cafe. We don't say thank you enough and after a particularly busy holiday period with the lovely weather this year, everyone needs a big shout out for keeping us going and looking after our brilliant customers so well. Many of our older teens have left us for University now and we sit them all well as they start their new adventures and the next part of their lives. We wish them all every success and happiness in their studies and look forward to seeing them again in the holidays!!

At this time of year we are also low on volunteers to help keep us going. So if you have time to help and join us that would be fabulous! Please get in touch or pop down to say hello.

Apologies to all our lovely customers but today, due to to a high temperature weather warning, our cafe will remain closed. We have always to be mindful of the welfare of our staff and volunteers working in a kitchen environment.

Thank you for your patience. We will be back open again tomorrow!!!

If you’re looking for something to do on Saturday 31 July 2026, book a ticket and pop along to support a local Scout Group (charity), fundraising for experiences for young people and have a great night - only £10 a ticket including food 😱.

Some of the cafe team will be attending, to support local community groups and have a laugh. Perhaps we’ll see you there 🤔

Here at Station House, we’re proud to support our community by working closely with local Scout groups 🤝. We help employ young people, support volunteers to grow, and offer Duke of Edinburgh placements wherever possible 🏕️🏅 – just one of the ways we give back ❤️

🌳 NEW FUSED GLASS WORKSHOP 🌳

I’m so excited to be bringing a brand new fused glass workshop to the gorgeous Station Café, Whitegate 🩵

Join me for a relaxed creative morning designing and making your own unique fused glass picture!

📍 Station Café, Whitegate
📅 Saturday 13th June
⏰ 10.30am – approx 12.30pm
👥 Maximum 7 spaces
💷 £60 per person

You’ll create a beautiful 15cm square fused glass artwork completely of your own choosing — whether that’s trees, florals, beach scenes, abstract designs or something totally personal to you ✨

Included in the price:
☕ A hot drink
🍰 Fabulous cake from the café
🔥 Kiln firing of your finished piece
🎨 All materials and full tuition

You can also choose on the day to:
• add hooks for hanging
or
• purchase a wooden display stand for an additional £10

No experience is needed at all — I’ll guide you through everything step-by-step.

Your finished artwork will be fired after the workshop and ready to collect approximately 2 weeks later.

⚠️ Important bits:
• Closed shoes must be worn (no sandals/open toes please)
• Glass can be sharp so care must be taken during the session
