Sorry for such a long post but please take the time to have a read…
As many of you already know, Greene King made the decision to sell The Plough. An offer has now been accepted and, due to the terms of our agreement, we’ve been asked to leave the premises. We’ve agreed that our final day of trading will be 30th August.
This isn’t the ending we expected, but unfortunately it’s one that’s out of our hands.
Over the last few years we’ve had the pleasure of meeting so many amazing people. Whether you’ve been a regular from day one or just popped in from time to time, you’ve all played a part in making The Plough what it is. We’ve shared laughs, celebrations, difficult times and plenty of great nights together, and for that we’ll always be incredibly grateful.
While it’s sad to be saying goodbye, we’re also excited to see what the future holds for The Plough. It’s a fantastic pub with so much potential, and we know the new owners will give it the extra push it deserves, investing in the building that will help it thrive for many years to come. We genuinely wish them every success and all the very best in their new venture.
We’d love the chance to say goodbye properly, so on Saturday 29th August we’ll be holding a farewell party with live music from becky Cooke We’d love to see as many familiar faces as possible for one last drink, a few laughs, and to celebrate everything The Plough has meant to us all.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to every single person who has supported us along the way. Your kindness, loyalty and friendship have meant far more than you’ll ever know.
We hope to see you all on the 29th/30th for one final farewell. ❤️🍻
