It’s folk week once again in Whitby. Doesn’t it come round quick? We will be open all week selling our folking pork sandwiches (and others!) We welcome all types of folking people. Big folkers. Good morning pork lovers 🐷

Unfortunately when we arrived at the shop this morning (Sunday) we discovered there has been a partial power outage on Golden Lion Bank.

Due to this we currently have no cooked pork and with an engineer ‘several hours away’ we’ve had to make the difficult decision to close.

Hopefully it will be business as usual tomorrow (Monday) so do swing by and buy twice as many of your favourite pork sandwiches.

Here at the Greedy Pig we love a birthday celebration!

Just had 2 ladies in the shop. Twins. Here celebrating their birthday for a few days. They asked me how old I thought they were. Now for any man, this is the scariest question a man can be asked and one I usually refuse to answer. But they were insistent so I obliged. Upon close examination I thought I’d be kind and make their day by saying 65.

Anyway, from everyone here at the Greedy Pig we’d like to wish them a happy 50th birthday and hope they have a lovely time in Whitby. 🎉

Why not celebrate your birthday in style with one of our delicious pork sandwiches. Candles not included. 🎂
