Two years ago we made the extremely tough decision to close the doors of Zayka. My family and I loved every minute of our time in Whaley Bridge and to this day can not thank the community enough for the support they provided and for making us and our families feel so welcomed.

However, as one door closes another opens!

I am very excited to announce the opening of my new Indian Restaurant, Wah Ji Wah, in the centre of Manchester, right near Deansgate.

I have put my heart and soul into creating and launching Wah Ji Wah, designing a truly unique menu and space to enjoy delicious food and drinks.

I hope that the loyal following from Whaley Bridge will stop by when they visit Manchester and once again taste the amazing food I strive to cook up!

It is with a heavy heart that after 5 years of hard work supported by our fantastic customers and staff; that Zayka sadly closes it’s doors.

Manish and Surbhy would like to thank the people of Whaley Bridge for welcoming them and their family into the community and for supporting the restaurant throughout this time.

We have faced some difficult trading periods operating in the current financial climate, but the support of our customers and staff has allowed us to continue to deliver the highest standards of service and offer people an exciting range of cuisine presented in a modern way.

Thank you to all of our customers; we have loved taking care of you and thank you for taking care of us too. The spirit of Zayka is something we hope to keep alive by maintaining connections with the people we met and grew to love there.

I’d also like to express our gratitude towards the staff that worked so hard to keep the vision alive. Restaurant work is not easy and takes commitment, thick skin and a good sense of humour and it is rare to find such dedicated, hardworking and friendly staff anywhere.

May we wish our customers and staff our very best wishes for the future and we look forward to continuing to being a committed part of the community.
