We were very proud to be the match ball sponsor for the game against Wimborne on Saturday. The hospitality was top notch and the football thoroughly enjoyable. Weymouth started very brightly but then Wimborne gained the upper hand and took the lead in an enjoyable first half. In the second Weymouth roared back and were stronger for the whole half and deservedly equalised through a neat move and a composed finish by Brandon Goodship ⚽️ 🚀

We had a real nice chat with goal scorer afterwards who presented the signed football. Would thoroughly recommend!

Coffee fit for a King … or better. ☕️ 👑

Back in 1789, King George III came to Weymouth to bathe in the sea in a wooden cart while his band played the national anthem.

But while he had fanfare and bathing machines…his coffee?

Stale, over-roasted and brewed with grounds still in the mug and a Royal Court guessing how to brew it. 😔

🍒 ☕️ Freshly picked coffee cherries harvested in farms near the village of Halo Barite near Gedeb in the Gedo Zone. These farms are used in our Magarrissa Halo coffee from the western part of Sidamo. 😇 🇪🇹

What makes the western part of Sidamo unique within Ethiopia’s coffee-growing regions is its distinctive farming approach. Local families cultivate small plots of land using agroforestry, where coffee is grown alongside a mix of other crops beneath forest trees and canopy vegetation. These farms are usually between a quarter and half a hectare in size and include coffee, enset (Ensete ventricosum, a banana-like plant used as a staple starch), various yam species (Dioscorea), and eucalyptus. While some areas of Sidamo appear densely forested at first glance, they are actually carefully managed, highly productive agroforestry systems. 🌴 🌳 🍒 🌳 🌴
