Good morning everyone. Last night wasn’t very busy at all, we’re beginning to realise that not so many people are wanting hot fish and chips in this weather which is slightly swaying our decision. It was borderline unbearable in the shop last night with temperatures hitting just over 40 degrees behind the fryers. With tonight forecasted to be another 4 degrees warmer we will be expecting close to 45 degrees in the shop. We have a duty of care to look after our staff therefore we are making the decision to close tonight and tomorrow. We really apologise for any inconvenience but I won’t be willing to be scooping anyone up off the floor if I can help it. Hope you all understand and enjoy this weather with or without fish & chips! Thank you

With this heat I’m sure it’s easy to imagine how hot our shop gets! Because of this we’ve made the decision to do what we can to keep our staff safe and comfortable so we will be opening on reduced hours for tonight, tomorrow (Wednesday) and Thursday. We will be open 17:00-19:30. Thank you for your understanding

We’ve been overwhelmed with the amount of people messaging about our earlier post looking for staff. It’s great to see so many younger people willing to work. We’re wading through the messages so please don’t be offended if we don’t reply right away. We’ve had so many that unfortunately anyone who hasn’t sent us any details about themselves will not be considered as we only have a couple of positions to fill. Thank you!

We are looking for seasonal staff to join our busy fish & chip shop in time for the summer holidays.

Applicants must be 15 years old or over, have a good willing to work/ can do attitude and work well alongside the rest of our team. Any previous experience is preferred but not necessary.
