The Palm House Baby Club is operating tomorrow Wednesday as normal from 10.30am to 12.30pm and is open to all new mums and their babies up to 18 months old.

We also have Hannah the Community Midwife on hand to offer advice and support to new mums.
As usual, we have a wide range of delicious fresh and homemade food and drink for all customers. Look forward to seeing you soon ❤️

‘Under the Sea’ week at the Palm House reaches its peak tomorrow. We have crafts in the studio from 10-2pm, glitter tattoos in the main cafe and story telling and artefacts from 2pm. And the fresh shark cupcakes are worth a visit on their own!

Our magical ‘Under the Sea’ theme week continues in the old Palm House cafe with some great activities on Friday and Saturday.

Tomorrow we have hair braiding and cute mermaid glitter tattoos by Karina and on Saturday we have face-painting all day, crafts from 10am to 2pm and story telling and educational entertainment at 2pm by a talking lobster - I kid you not🦞.

We also have colouring, puzzles, quiz, displays and delicious home made shark flavoured cupcakes. So join us before the end of the week; you don’t want to miss the boat 🚤

The biggest ‘Under the Sea’ festival anywhere in Weymouth this week continues at the Palm House.🐠🐡🎣

We have amazing displays, books, puzzles, fishing games, a special competition, shark cupcakes, staff wearing cute socks with octopuses on them and you’ll never be so excited to go to the toilet as during Under the Sea week at the Palm House. You’ve been warned! 🫍🐋

The Palm House is all set for ‘Under the Sea’ Week starting tomorrow. 🐳🐋🫍🐠

Join us for an exciting adventure beneath the waves and experience a bridge across a shark infested pool, puzzles, fishing games, displays, crafts, cool cupcakes and lots more!
On Monday we have Karina doing mermaid hair braiding and glitter tattoos and Moonfleet playing chilled relaxing music live. 🐠🐟🎣

So to all the little buoys and girls, join us and you’ll have a whale of a time! 🐳

I’ve not posted for a while but I was thinking what could I do to bring more stress and workload into my life ? (said no one ever). And the idea I had was to turn the Palm House into a giant underwater world of wonder!

So next week, 14-20th September will be our first ‘Under the Sea’ week.

We will have nautical displays, puzzles, crafts, food and lots more all based on a submerged tropical ocean scene. There will be sharks, dolphins, fish, coral, octopuses and did I mention sharks? Lots of sharks.

Everyone welcome, no extra charges apply and swimming costumes are not required. So please visit the Palm House any day next week, we’d love to sea you 🤭

A big thank you to everyone who bought cakes or donated to our Breast Cancer Now appeal on Thursday and Friday. We raised £89.25 towards the charity which is fantastic. Marilyn from Blandford won the guess the weight of the cake competition. Her guess of 1190gms was only 19gms higher than the total of 1171gms. They obviously know their cakes in Blandford.

In breakfast news, we again welcomed the Air Fleet Army veterans for a delicious Palm House breakfast on Saturday morning. These guys are all ex-military so they all arrived on time and left the room spotless.

We are fully open tomorrow Bank Holiday Monday where we have live music in the cafe from 10.30am and a great range of food and drink at reasonable prices.

Due to staff shortages, we regret the Palm House will not be open on Sunday 30th August. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience.

We will be open as usual on Bank Holiday Monday as normal from 9.30am to 4pm. We hope you can join us then. Apologies again.

What a wonderful day at the Palm House today. Our 2 day fundraiser for Breast Cancer Now is going well and we still have lots of homemade cakes, cookies and scones available tomorrow to support the charity.
There is also a fun quiz, competition and a chance to win Dani’s homemade Victoria Sponge cake if you guess the weight!

On another note, we welcomed the Budd family again this year where Austin celebrated his 11th birthday. His mum told me he has had a difficult year due to a tumour that has successfully been removed privately following a Go Fund Me appeal. It reminded me of the help we received from the local community after our flood in February and again shows the true spirit of British values.

So if you have time, please pop into the Palm House, grab a delicious cake and help support this wonderful charity.
