Bloomin heck it's hot lol! But we have the answer, our garden is lovely and shady, nice breeze and the perfect spot to relax with a chilled beer or two. Why not switch it up and grab a Magners, it's our Summer Promo and at £4.95/pint it's a bargain too 😎

Tonight we have Luke Edney here hosting our Open Mic Night. If you haven't booked a slot do it now or just pop in. It's a great night and the perfect spot to showcase those hidden talents! Join us from 830pm (and bring a fan lol).

Friday's Live Music is courtesy of Jon Byron and Guido - you will recognise these two from Open Mic Night and not only is their musical talent amazing, they're fun too. Win win in my book! Music Friday from 830pm.

And Saturday . . . England v Norway in the Quarter Finals of the 2026 World Cup! Who'd have thought it after the first couple of matches. We have 3 tables left. It's bookings only so reserve these while you can. Details of how Saturday will run to follow.

Bit later than normal but Meet the Team Monday is here!

Today it's one of our youngest team member's in the spotlight. Despite being younger, James has worked at The Jolly longer than I have. He started here when Craig and Vanessa managed the pub and has stayed on for which I am so grateful. He can turn his hand to anything (serving, clearing, hoisting barrels, charming the customers...) and once fixed a wonky ale line when everyone else failed. You will find James behind the bar at any time when he is home from Uni, working away with a smile and witty chat - be sure to say hi next time you see him!

CONGRATULATIONS ENGLAND - YOU'RE BRINGING IT HOME!

England v Norway Saturday July 11th at 10pm

We will be following the action live here at The Jolly and invite you to watch with us. This will be a BOOKING ONLY EVENT to ensure everyone watching has a great time. To facilitate this, we will be closing the pub at 8pm and reopening at 830pm for those who have booked with us. Our doors will be closed from 9pm for the match so, if you have a table booked, please join us before 9pm.
We are a small pub so on this occasion we will not be allowing walk ins or under 18s.

Let us help you through the hours ahead...

Join us for The British Grand Prix which is followed by our Sunday Live Music Session. What better way to 'while away the hours' before a few hours kip ahead of the match???

Dave Sykes is here from 5pm, acoustic at it's best and with tables service in the garden from 12-7pm, your Sunday just got so much better.

What a drama - will they/won't they change the England v Mexico kick off time - and no, still 1am!
Whilst the drama rolled on, thank you to everyone who joined for a fantastic evening of live music from the one and only Wayne Brennan. Interesting fact, he travelled from Barry Island to entertain us - and we are so grateful. Wayne is back next week for a private function in the backroom but I'm sure you will still be able to enjoy it.

Today we have a first for me at The Jolly - a tribute act. Katie Wilson will be performing as Amy Winehouse from 830pm. Please support this event. I know you all love live music so let's give her a 'Jolly' welcome. Eat, drink (sensibly) and dance the night away.

Nice result for the home team last night and thank you for everyone who enjoyed the match with us. England take on Mexico in the wee hours of Monday morning and, out of consideration for our neighbours, we will not be showing this match. When England win and continue their progress in the tournament we will be showing the remaining matches. These will be book ahead events as our space is limited. Meet the Team Monday is back and let's take a look at who's in the frame today . . .

It's another double up and it's time to meet Olivia and Josh. Olivia has been on the team for around 2 years now whilst Josh is our newest member joining us just over a month ago. And surprise surprise, they know each other from outside The Jolly!
Cheerful, efficient and so polite you definitely want them serving you 🙂😎

What a week - excessive heat, Scotland out, England still in, fantastic live music and a slightly grumpy Scottish landlady 🤣

We have the next England game on Wednesday at 5pm, England v The DR Congo. Tables available to book, walk-ins welcome as are well behaved under 18s with well behaved supervising adults! Pop in or give us a call to reserve your spot now. Remember that you need to be in the pub one hour before kick off (so 4pm) or we reserve the right to give your table away.

As for the rest of the week, here's what's in store. Have a good one and, of course, come on England 🥂

Good morning and welcome to another day in the tropics!

A belter of a Saturday here in every way . . .

Our garden remains as beautiful as ever with just the right amount of shade and just the right amount of sun - something for everyone 😎 So grab a chilled drink of your choice and kick back - it's the weekend after all 🙂

We missed out on LIVE MUSIC last night but we have a fantastic band here this evening, hot off the stage at the Weybridge Garden Party, The Kimberley Grae Band will be performing in the garden room from 730pm. Doors open so you can enjoy the music inside or out 🥰

When the music ends the big match will be shown on all our TVs (hopefully now all running in time - thank you to our lovely regulars for sorting this!). England take on Panama at 10pm. If you have a table reserved, you need to be in the pub from 9pm or your table is up for grabs. Sadly no under 18s from 8pm (garden too) this will be reviewed for the next round. As with previous matches, our doors close 30 minutes before kick off. So, if you are walking in to watch please be here by 930pm.

Omer is, as always, cooking your dinner so you don't have to! He's on the grill from 6pm.
