💔 A little update from us at Moran’s…
Some of you may have noticed that Tony and I haven’t been around the restaurant as much, and I wanted to explain a little bit about why, but also take the opportunity to say a massive thank you.
Earlier this year, our lives were turned completely upside down when I was diagnosed with a rare, inoperable and incurable brain cancer.
As you can imagine, since then life has looked very different. There have been endless appointments, scans, treatments, second opinions and a lot of figuring out what comes next. It has meant that, for the first time in a very long time, I’ve had to take a big step back from Moran’s.
And this is really why I wanted to write this post.
Two of our wonderful young men, Jeff & Woody, have completely stepped up and taken the reins through what has been an incredibly busy summer. They have quite literally kept the ship sailing and I cannot explain how proud I am of them.
Watching them take on that responsibility, alongside the rest of our brilliant team, has honestly been one of the loveliest things to come out of a pretty rubbish situation.
Our whole Moran’s family has shown us so much kindness, loyalty and support. They have worked unbelievably hard, looked after the restaurant, looked after each other and looked after us too. The way they have handled everything while knowing what has been going on behind the scenes has been genuinely commendable.
We also kicked Mr Moran out of retirement and he is back! So as a family the restaurant will continue to be loved and looked after
So this is a huge public THANK YOU to every single member of our team ❤️
Moran’s has been such a massive part of our lives for so many years and knowing it is in the hands of people who genuinely care about it means more to us than they probably realise.
And to our customers, thank you too.
Thank you for continuing to fill our tables, recommend us, come back to see us and keep our little restaurant busy. Every booking, meal, cocktail and Thai takeaway supports not only us, but the brilliant people who work alongside us. We are incredibly grateful ❤️
As for me, we’re not giving up without a bloody good fight.
We are now making plans to travel to Germany and explore multiple treatments that we hope can give me as much time as possible with Tony, Indi and the people I love.
Unfortunately, these treatments come at an enormous cost and our friends and family have set up a GoFundMe to help us get there.
I absolutely hate asking people for anything, so please know there is zero expectation whatsoever. But for anyone who has asked how they can help, or would like to contribute, I’ll pop the link below. Even simply sharing it means the world to us. ⬇️

Thank you for supporting our restaurant, our team and our family.
And most importantly, Jeff, Woody and the whole Moran’s family, we bloody love you ❤️
