If you haven’t visited us this week… you’ve missed quite a few new arrivals!

This week we’ve been busy filling the cake cabinet with even more treats, including our brand new Caramel Apple Pie Blondie… and judging by the reactions so far, it’s definitely one to try!

Alongside that we’ve got:
- Cherry Ripple Cookie Stack
- Twix & Pistachio Cookie Stack
- Crunchie, Biscoff & Flake Cookie Stack
- And lots more, including all our usual cakes

And for this weekend only… our Double Chocolate Cheesecake Pops!

We love keeping the cake cabinet fresh with new flavours and new ideas, so there’s usually something different to tempt you every time you visit.

Well… that escalated quickly! 🤣

Yesterday you kept us so busy that we completely sold out of scones… something that hasn’t happened for a very long time!

So this morning we weren’t taking any chances.

92 freshly baked scones are ready and waiting! Plain, fruit or cheese!

Whether you’re joining us for a cream tea, a savoury scone or just popping in for your favourite, we’ve got you covered today.

(Although after yesterday… I probably shouldn’t tempt fate!)

Last week we celebrated 18 years of Tea on the Green… and what a week it was!

Our Loaded Scone Week was a huge success despite the heat, and we honestly can’t thank you enough. So many of you came along to celebrate with us, tried our creations, shared photos, commented on our posts and made the whole week one we’ll never forget.

Sweet Winner: Cherry Bakewell
Savoury Winner: Bacon, Brie & Cranberry

We’ve had so many people asking if the loaded scones will be back…

Well… we think they probably will! 😉

Thank you for supporting our little family-run tea room over the past 18 years. Whether you’ve been visiting us since day one or only discovered us recently, every visit, every recommendation, every like and every kind word means the world to us.

What a National Cream Tea Day!

We had every intention of posting earlier today… but you had other ideas!

The tea room was busy from the moment we opened, and we’re so grateful to everyone who chose to celebrate National Cream Tea Day with us.

Seeing so many of cream teas heading out to tables today has been the perfect way to celebrate both National Cream Tea Day and our 18th Anniversary week.

Day 2 of our 18th Anniversary Loaded Scone Week 🎉

Today’s loaded scones are…

Sweet: Banoffee
Loaded with caramel, clotted cream and banana

Savoury: Ham, Stilton & Onion Marmalade

They’re £7.95 each, including tea or americano, made in limited numbers for the day — so once they’re scone, they’re scone!

Eighteen years ago today, we took a leap of faith and opened Tea on the Green.
We sold our family home at the top of the village, I left my job with Devon County Council, and with a lot of hope (and a lot of baking!) we started this little tea room.

Eighteen years later, we’re still here, still proudly family-run, and still doing what we love in the heart of Westward Ho! Over the years, Mark and all three of our children have played their part in the business, and we feel incredibly lucky that so many of you have been part of the story too.

Whether you’ve visited once, popped in every week, recommended us to a friend or simply followed along online — thank you. Your support over the last 18 years has meant the world to us ❤️

If you’d like to celebrate with us this week, we’ve got a different sweet and savoury loaded scone every day.

Sunshine, cake and Father’s Day feels like a pretty good combination to us!

If you’re heading out for a stroll, fancy a catch-up over tea, or just feel like treating Dad (or yourself… we don’t judge 😏), the cake cabinets are looking rather good today.
