❤️ LET’S GET THE ANCHOR BACK OPEN! ❤️

A small update! 🥰

Since the devastating fire last October, we’ve lost a place where people came together, made memories, supported each other and simply felt at home. Lots of us have drank there, sang kareoke there, ate Sunday roasts there and some of us worked there for periods of time and have been well looked after by Graca and team over the years ❤️

As many of you know, there has been a huge amount of work involved in getting the Anchor to the stage it is at today. Unfortunately the scaffolding and road closure costs have taken a significant amount of funds from Graca, and this means she needs a bit of community spirit and fundraising to help get those doors back open again! The building is getting there, but the interior still needs much needed work and funding to get the pub completely up and running and ready to welcome our community back through the doors.

So, we want to help bring it back — but this time, as a true community project. 🍻⚓

We’re fundraising to help get the Anchor back open, and we need everyone’s help to make it happen!

🎶 Are you in a band or know a local band who would be willing to play at our fundraiser? We would absolutely love to hear from you!

🎟️ Can you donate a raffle prize? Whether it’s a voucher, hamper, experience, service, gift or anything else — every donation will help us raise those much-needed funds. Last year Im sure you remember the massive success from the charity darts marathon, lets make it happen again! A big thank you to everyone who has donated so far 🥰

And if you can’t donate, simply share this post. The more people who hear about our campaign, the better chance we have of bringing our local back. ❤️ We have had lots of interest from the media to cover Graca, the Anchor and our fundraiser so this is sure to be a big deal! ❤️
