😔 Sorry, Anstey: no van tonight

We’re very sorry to let you know that the Pig & Olive van won’t make it to Anstey Community Hall this evening. The van needs a repair, and we’d rather get it fixed properly than risk letting you down halfway through service.

We know lots of you were looking forward to pizza tonight, and we’re sorry for the disappointment.

We hope to be back on the road tomorrow at Beaford Village Hall, 4.30pm – 8.30pm, and we’ll post an update as soon as we know more.

We think he's still out there, staring up in quiet disbelief, wondering whether he'll ever see daylight again.

The stretch and flip technique. 🍕✋

After a 22-hour double prove, the dough is ready — but the base is not.

First, hands work around the edge to gently coax out that crust, before flattening the centre ready for the toppings. Then comes the real technique — no rolling pins, no shortcuts — stretch, flip, stretch, flip, coaxing the dough out slowly until it's just the right thickness, with that perfect air pocket crust forming around the edge. Straight onto the peel, a final stretch and into the oven it goes.

It takes time, but get it right, and you get a base like no other 🔥
